Some of the reviews I read said things like "all action and no plot", and when I saw it I had to wonder what reviewers like that were smoking. I don't know much about South African racial politics, but there were so many historical parallels, the first that came to mind being the inquisition and the Nazi treatment of Jews. It was a brilliantly intelligent and understated film. Would it have been any different for the aliens if they hovered over New York or London? Perhaps it would have been worse? I loved the movie and going to buy it on DVD as soon as it's available :) Completely agree! Hell, Mr. (insert any given color here), really. I knew a douchebag named Todd Green, and had an asshole teacher by the name of Mr. Black. We used to make fun of him after the Simpsons episode where Bart goes to Camp Krusty was aired. It's gotten to the point where it's like a giant neon sign hovering above their head that says "DICK" magically appears whenever their name is mentioned.
