Universal Will

Throughout the “universe”, there is a continuously circulating flow of energy, which sustains it. This energy is ubiquitous, and inhabits every being, giving them “life”. Life is finite, however, all because this energy is constantly in motion, and eventually leaves the body of the organism. Aging, in terms of time and space, is the body’s gradual release of energy as it continues its path of travel throughout the universe along the “w” or 4th dimensional axis (where time is the measurement of “distance” along said axis). At no time does energy leave a given area altogether, but the concentration changes as the energy moves.

The balance between creation and destruction is what controls this flow of energy, as by the natural order, energy and matter move toward areas of lower density. As such, energy moves away from areas of higher concentration. Destruction contributes to the flow of energy, for the very meaning of “destruction” is the sudden movement of energy and/or matter away from the subject. When this occurs, it lowers the concentration in the given area. This causes new energy to replace it, sustaining the circulatory effect. The new energy is used in the “creation” of new things, maintaining the said balance between creation and destruction. The aforementioned “flow of energy” shall for the purposes of this theory be referred to as “The Drift”.

Established scientific theory that supports this particular concept is the speculated cause of a “black hole”. One theory states that a black hole is a star whose nuclear energy depleted to the point where it can no longer sustain itself against its own gravitational pull, and thus collapses. Another theory states that it is caused by “a massive star first exploding as a supernova, leaving a small, dense neutron star. These tiny stars are not as dense as black holes; however, some of the debris left over after the supernova explosion might fall back onto the neutron star, adding to its mass sufficiently so that it undergoes a second phase of collapse into the finality that is the black hole.” These affirm the theory that the destruction of one body leads to the filtering in of new energy and/or matter to replace it, as black holes are known to have immense gravitational pulls, such that they even pull in energy.

There may have once been a single being which controlled the Drift, but it has long ceased to exist. Now the flow of energy is regulated by a disjointed universal “will”, a massive combined consciousness inhabiting and shared by all beings throughout the universe. However, since such a massive consciousness could not be harbored within the relatively simpler minds of the universe’s life forms, they hold only a part of it, and are unaware of the fact that they share this massive thought process with so many others.

Animals, born with the inherent desire to reproduce, contribute to the creation side of the balance, while beings predisposed to violence and chaos contribute to the destruction side, no one being more important than another, for they all help sustain the “Drift”. These destructive beings, who to others may seem “evil”, only know their desire to destroy, not the deep seeded reason for that desire, or that they are bound to the balance of the universe by the collective will. Most life is ignorant to the existence of the universal will, “deaf” to the universal melody. Does all life strive to achieve a certain ideal? To reunite, to become finite again, as it was in the beginning? Is then procreation all life’s unknowing attempt to become finite? Two beings fostering another unify their life rhythms, the patterns of their genetic compositions? Is an offspring a moment of harmony between two compatible melodies? Procreation yields evolution, which is life’s attempt to reach the ideal.

BUT, conceivably, the ideal can never be reached, until all life everywhere becomes as one, as it was in the beginning.

And why are the threads/waves/melodies becoming fragmented? Why is the rope continuing to fray and undo itself? It seems that as time goes on, there is only more dissension between people, between people and nature. As one type of life grows and evolves, another is sacrificed. For example, as the human population continues to grow, more and more species of animals become endangered. This perhaps could be explained by the fact that all energy and matter is finite, and is conserved. Where one population grows, another has to decline, for there is not enough matter and energy to sustain the proliferation of all. What determines, though, which species grows and which species becomes endangered, and eventually extinct? Is this where the will comes into effect? Perhaps those creatures possessing a larger part of the universal will are given precedence over those with less of it.

Applying a bit of romanticism to this theory, where we cannot physically or spiritually “unite”, as presumably would be required for us to reach the “ideal”, we can unite in mind and purpose, establish harmony between people, between species, between people and nature, and so on… There is no question that harmony in any context is more favorable than discord. While an instrument may be able to carry a tune and produce a beautiful sound, its melody is only augmented when joined by others. If you consider the goal that all life unknowingly strives towards as being unification in the likeness of its original source, how insignificant by comparison do the petty differences (or even those considered large-scale) between people seem?

Discrepancies between religions, governments, and cultures are inevitable and often times unavoidable, as they are the result of our divided and thus flawed perception of the objective reality (if such a thing exists), or at the least, the greater good. All too often, that perception is turned inward, centering on one’s self, rather than the whole of livingkind. Where the preservation or advancement of one (be it a person, organization, culture, or nation) appears to be hindered by another, there is conflict, further dissension. In such a situation, one of the parties in conflict must elevate their perception to include the preservation/advancement of the all, rather than the one. Discrepancies should not be an excuse to broaden the gaps between these institutions and the people they represent, but rather a reason to search for a higher solution which provides for everyone. After all, whatever superficial motives may drive us in our lives, often superceding the underlying goal of all livingkind, they are still derivative of that goal, and give us a common purpose…
