I started to comment on that Pat Robertson nonsense, but then I had some computer troubles and it got deleted. Kind of gave up on it after that. I've been reading a bit about it - stuff from Naomi Klein and others who are talking about how Haiti is like Hurricane Katrina the national version, with moneyed interests sweeping in to take advantage of a catastrophe. But I'm not yet up to writing about it. Since Europeans realized that everywhere else they went they found non-white people, they must've realized that they had to do something about it. I guess the one person to truly blame is Columbus who so adamantly wanted to prove that the world wasn't flat that he stumbled on north America. After him, the rest followed and fast-forward 500 years, we are in a global mess. It is funny how this global mess doesn't affect the majority of white people but the non-whites on this planet. It is disgusting how people deny the past by saying that we've transcended racism. I mean, yeah we don't see black people being hanged or wiped like in the day, but oh my, could we be so wrong...500 years ago it was called slavery, today is called human trafficking..Can you see the difference?
